ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a software industry term for the broad set of activities supported by multi-module application software that helps a manufacturer or any other business manage the important parts of its business, including product planning, parts purchasing, maintaining inventories, interacting with suppliers, providing customer service, and tracking orders. ERP can also include application modules for the finance and human resources aspects of a business.

In short, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a combination of the best business management practices and technology integrated with the company's core business processes to achieve overall business objectives.

CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is a software industry term for methodologies, software, and usually Internet capabilities that help an enterprise manage customer relationships in an organized way.

For example, an enterprise might build a database about its customers that describes relationships in sufficient detail so that management, salespeople, people providing service, and perhaps the customer directly could access information, match customer needs with product plans and offerings, remind customers of service requirements, know what other products a customer had purchased, and so forth.

EAI : EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) is defined as a business computing term for the plans, methods, and tools aimed at modernizing, consolidating, and coordinating the computer applications in an enterprise. Typically, an enterprise may have existing legacy applications and databases and might want to continue to use them while adding or migrating to a new set of applications that exploit the Internet, Intranet, e-commerce, Extranet, and other new technologies.

BPM : BPM, Business Process Management, has been most recently defined in the context of understanding and improving the way people and applications work together. These benefits focus on efficiencies realized when companies are able to identify the individual elements of work and streamline the joint efforts. We at Saahi use BPM within our organization and with the expertise and the experience we have prepared ourselves to help our clients realize their dreams through proper understanding and utilization of BPM and its elements.

Business Intelligence :
Business Intelligence (BI) is a broad category of applications and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data to help enterprise users make better business decisions. The key to thriving in a competitive marketplace is staying ahead of the competition. Making sound business decisions based on accurate and current information takes more than intuition. A data warehouse is a copy of transaction data specifically structured for querying and reporting. Data analysis, reporting, and query tools like Informatica, Cognos, Business Objects, Microstratagy ,can help business users wade through a sea of data to synthesize valuable information from it - today these tools collectively fall into a category called "Business Intelligence. "Information at the warehouse is under the control of the warehouse users; it can be stored safely and reliably for as long as necessary.

Mainframe : In mainframe software architectures all intelligence is within the central host computer. Users interact with the host through a terminal that captures keystrokes and sends that information to the host. Mainframe software architectures are not tied to a hardware platform. User interaction can be done using PCs and UNIX workstations. A limitation of mainframe software architectures is that they do not easily support graphical user interfaces (see Graphical User Interface Builders) or access to multiple databases from geographically dispersed sites. In the last few years, mainframes have found a new use as a server in distributed client/server architectures.

Web Development : As per the customer requirements, Saahi follows the waterfall model (which was the original SDLC method) and rapid application development (RAD) model or a hybrid of other development models to deliver web solutions.

Application Development : Saahi uses the Software development life cycle (SDLC), which is a conceptual model, used in project management that describes the stages involved in an information system development project, from an initial feasibility study through maintenance of the completed application. Various SDLC methodologies have been developed to guide the processes involved. We at Saahi basically use the waterfall model (which was the original SDLC method) and rapid application development (RAD) model or a hybrid of other development models to deliver solutions to our customers depending on the need.

Database Managment : Saahi has several personnel that are very experienced in the field of Database Management. MySQL, MS Access, DB2 and Oracle are some of the areas of our expertise.A collection of programs that enables you to store, modify, and extract information from a database is referred to as Database Management System. There are many different types of DBMSs, ranging from small systems that run on personal computers to huge systems that run on mainframes.

Networking : Network management means different things to different people. In some cases, it involves a solitary network consultant monitoring network activity with an outdated protocol analyzer. In other cases, network management involves a distributed database, autopolling of network devices, and high-end workstations generating real-time graphical views of network topology changes and traffic. In general, network management is a service that employs a variety of tools, applications, and devices to assist human network managers in monitoring and maintaining networks.

Server : As a result of the limitations of file sharing architectures, the client/server architecture emerged. This approach introduced a database server to replace the file server. Using a relational database management system (DBMS), user queries could be answered directly. The client/server architecture reduced network traffic by providing a query response rather than total file transfer. It improves multi-user updates through a GUI front end to a shared database.

Open Source : ARPA then oversaw the creation of an array of software needed to manage and extend the computer network. The protocols like TCP, FTP took shape. Then there was the cross-fertilization of staff and ideas outside the government. In all these ways, ARPA helped shepherd open Internet standards into the 1980s and 1990s when they would be used to radically expand the network to a wide range of users.

In doing so, it was clear that the professional norms promoted by ARPA and the community of researchers was critical in order to keep individual profit taking from undermining those open standards. It is said that "History repeats itself" and you can see the boom in the world of Open Source. We believe in the revolution of Open Source and very rightly Saahi has prepared for the ride on the information superhighway accessible to every common man through open source.
